How common is geometry and other math topics on the new SAT?

Can anyone tell me this? I’m worried because everyone told to remeber formulas related to geometry and I’m worried it’s gonna be very common. Is it really common on the test by any chance?

At this point, the best information we have about what is going to be on the new test and how frequently each topic will be tested is found in the 4 released practice tests. That’s not as good as having 10 released actual tests, but we just don’t have that! All we can do is look at those 4…anyone who claims to know more than that about what will be tested and how frequently it will be asked is really just guessing.

No kidding, I notice that a number of the questions you have posted recently all have this same answer. I wish there were another answer, but if there is, I have not seen it. If you want to do the best you can, go to those 4 tests and work them into the ground. Make sure you understand how to do each question. When possible, try to do a question more than one way. I posted a link recently to a bunch of alternattive solutions. You may want to look at those as well. When you are confident that you can teach someone else how to answer these questions, I bet you are ready.

I took a practice test today and noticed there were roughly 3 geometry questions on the whole test. Most of the math portion was made up of advanced algebra. Hope this helped!

Thanks @thatone1 have you already taken the SAT?

Why are they lessening the importance of knowledge of Geometry on the SAT? Students not as strong on Algebra will not do as well, and students stronger on Geometry will not have their strengths highlighted as much.
