<p>I got an 11 after learning a lesson from (in my opinion) a very well written essay in the SAT writing section. I am convinced that simple sentences (subject verb object prepositional phrase MAYBE) with the occasional transition is considered “good” writing and gets you a good score.</p>

<p>I’m pretty sure it’s not too common. I got a 12 and was shocked because I thought I did terrible on my ACT essay compared to my SAT essay (which I got a 10 on).</p>
<p>Yeah, I just got a 11, got a 11 on my SAT one also.</p>
<p>Scores of 11 and 12 are not that common, so kudos to you.</p>
