How common is underaged drinking at your school?

^ Same, the drug scene at my school is pretty big.

^My school is mostly hard drugs, no marijuana.

Many of them enjoy:
LSD
Heroin
PCP
Homemade Crystal Meth

It’s an engineering school too, so its all traded through Bitcoins and stuff. SMH

Pretty common. Even most of the “good” kids do it, most often at parties or school dances. I’d say the majority of upperclassmen have done at least some type of recreational drug, if not alcohol.

I have a friend who was dumbfounded when he found out I smoke and drink regularly. He thought it was awesome because I’m first in my class and have a 36 on my ACT.

i know people drink in my school(i’m not one of them), but i’m not sure how many or to what degree.

I’ve never paid attention. I know a few that do weed. I don’t know many people that drink personally.

I don’t pay attention really… Probably about a quarter of our whole high school. I don’t drink and neither do my friends, so I’m not around it.

^Lol, middle-schoolers don’t count!

However, you’ll see that many of your friends surprisingly do not stay above the influence for quite long. Or perhaps, your friends are different than my shady ones…

80% of the entire school drinks. It is common in every walk of life, jocks to mathletes to theater kids to the Ping Pong Club. Any given social group in the school has at least one member who drinks somewhat regularly. I’ve seen our valedictorian bombed multiple times this year.

Probably about 20% smokes weed.

Freshmen: 20%
Sophmores: 40%
Juniors: 70%
Seniors: 90%

Just my estimates.

I kind of don’t pay attention. I know drinking and drug-doing (?) happens, but none of my friends do it, and so I kind of just don’t care.

Its common, at all the parties they have a fridge full of jello shots etc. But this coming from what I have heard, drugs are worse. I remeber my 7th grade year (kindergarden- 12 grade connected) a boy got banned from all schools in the district for having coke and weed, he had bragged about it and got caught.

^lol, what a fail.

The underage drinking is more serious where I live because the kids are really rich [I live in the white, rich part of CT. The part where I see Buggatis and say NBD].

For example, they soak tampons in alcohol and shove it up their butt so that they can get an alcohol buzz without being hungover in school.

This includes the male students.

EWW ^^

Hope you’re not part of those male students

@Apollo11 - Now “I woke up in a new Bugatti” is stuck in my head.

Honestly, I can’t even count anymore, not counting the incoming freshman who’ve most likely already started…

I go to a very competitive high school in the RVA area. (academically and athletically)
Drinking and smoking weed are the most popular choices when it comes to choosing a source of fun.

That’s not necessarily a bad thing either. It’s the reward at the end of a long challenging week of school, and it certainly keeps high school interesting.
Most importantly, it is motivation to get all of your work done so the weekends can be enjoyed before another long week of school.

And it’s better to learn how to responsibly drink before college. The criminal and social consequences are less severe when you’re in high school.
I know people who stayed away from alcohol in high school and then went out of control once they reached college because they had no prior experience, and they’re grades suffered.

My favorite motto is: Work hard play hard

Exactly, so many parents shelter their child so much, that they arent used to the freedom and totally changes in college. And think the things they do in highschool will have the same consquence in college. But this is only my opinion

Umm, there’s an obvious reason as to why it’s illegal to drink and smoke. First, kids are idiots as is, so no need to exacerbate that. Secondly, kids’ brains aren’t fully developed and it’s very easy for them to get addicted.

Wow, I sound like a prude haha.

There are always rumors about how the popular kids at my school drink (at their parties)… And I believe it. Some of them also smoke weed.
