Hi everyone!
I'm a junior in highschool, and by the end of my senior year, hopefully I'll be done with my prereqs and be able to apply for the RN program at my community college.
The problem is, my GPA isn't very high, like a 3.36 and the average gpas of those who got into the nursing program at my local cc was like a 3.75
Also, out of the almost 200 who applies only 30 actually get accepted
but i am doing the cna thing this summer and volonteering for a few months so hopefully that helps me!

So, what about at your colleges? Is it as competetive as mine? not as or even more? i mean only for your community colleges for rn program.
or ok i guess also at any colleges

Yes, at my local CC’s they say nursing is easily the most competitive/impacted and there’s a loong waiting list. I’m not doing nursing or anything btw.

At our CC, the nursing program is also highly competitive, with a long line of students hoping to get in. However, like many other RN programs, our nursing program only accepts students who have completed all of the college-level prerequisites first (Chem, Cell Bio, A & P, MicroBio). If you fear that your GPA is not high enough, look into such CCs, where you will have a chance to ‘redeem’ yourself by doing much better in those prereq courses.'
