How competitive are you?

pshhh im rly competitive....i mean RLY competitive......theres no way i can be valadictorian (sadly) for i screwed up this quarter based on personal issues tht i would not like to disuss. But ya being competitive helps make skool feel like a game so it helps you get through school. My brother is RLY competitive also so i guess its in our nature.

I am ridiculously competitive. I have this terrible fixation with being THE best... however, I am NOT the type of person who tries to subtly bring up grades or GPA or rank... In fact, when people ask me about scores/grades/what rank I am, I try to avoid answering, because I don't want to seem better than anyone else. Inside though, I'm viciously competitive. I used to be ranked number one in our class, and now one of my friends is. Even though I'm happy for her and would (eventually) be happy if she were valedictorian, I still want to 'beat' her. I feel like such a terrible person... but that's who I am.

When it comes to stupid games, I'm even MORE competitive. I am so obnoxious when I play board games with my friends. Once we were playing a review game in Bio, and my friend and I got into an intense fight about whose hand came up first (we were playing 'Jeopardy'). We didn't speak for the rest of the day, and still argue about it today. =)

I'm not competitive because I have 0 motivation, especially now that it's my senior year. Frankly, I think competition with yourself is a healthy way to stay motivated because that's when you really start achieving. On the other hand, competiting with others, unless it's friendly competition, just makes you look insecure.

I'm not competitive because there is this one girl who blows everyone away. So I try to be at least 2nd best. :P

I'm trying so hard to beat your score!! :D

I'm pretty competitive. More so when it comes to sports than school. But even in school I like being at the top (or at least close to it). With soccer I'm really competitive. Even when we win, if the other team gets a goal that should've been prevented I get mad (either at myself or the defender responsible).

I'm competitive when I play Balderdash...but when it comes to school, I come to reality and realize that I am not the smartest person and I can only do the best that I can...although it's really nice when I get a better grade on a test than the top kids..heh.

Hm, so with regard to competition I've decided that

You are good + you are nice = I worship you
You are good + you're a jerk = I hate you and try to beat you at everything. wahahaha.

That's only with regard to things like the AIME, though. I could care less about grades.

Only about my friends grades am I competitive. Otherwise, I could really care less about what you got on your report card.

I'm competitive in my mind lol. Not a big fan of putting it into action though.

I guess i can be just a tad bit competitive....
even w/my friends, i m driven to excel

I'm too lazy to be competitive.

i am somewhat competitive, but not in an athletic or academic sense...i'm more into accomplishments and club stuff, lol

I'm extremely competitive. If there is someone with a higher grade than me, I will watch them and try to beat them. Most of the time, I'm successful.

I'm lazy AND somewhat competitive - a nasty mix of incompatibles that has sent me careening into lows at times. I've learned to loosen up a lot this year, though, LOL. It's just not worth it.

Ha, I've got that in reverse... I can tolerate brilliance with arrogance because it makes me feel a little better that they are flawed, but to couple intelligence and kindness...

Well, the resultant perfection makes me desperately want to throttle. And feel even worse for wanting to do so.

BLEAYECH.
