I’m not competitive. In fact, I’d say I’m the MOST non-competitive.

So there, I win. :-)

LOL at princessbell: you sound like a self-help book.

^lol yeah, even though i sorta have to disagree with her “all that matters is competing with yourself” statement.

I am prob. the most secretly competitive person ever. I even fight with those closest to me about test grades, and get jealous if anyone ever beats me. I’m a 10 in all categories.

^ where’s the hosanna in your life then?

Schoolwork - I compete with myself. Nobody else. I do MY best..and usually that is more than good enough. My school doesn’t rank, and very few classes are graded on a curve. So I’d say 1..even 0. I think competition in this way is just beyond pathetic..if you spend your whole life trying to be better than others, you’ll never know YOUR own potential..becuase you’re just stuck in a compairison rut. Blech. I absoluetly HATE people who ask me what I got on tests/ACT/SAT/AP etc and compare with othes. Hate.

Athletics - Another story. I am super competitive (with the myself when working out AND the other team when playing them) 8-10

Schoolwork: I really don’t care. I mean, I get OCD about a bad grade depending on how much effort I put in. But, for the most part, I’m on “cruise control” with grades. They come to me. But, I do get competitive about them when I’m forced to compare. So I’d say a 6?

Sports: 10. I do not like to lose. My last tennis match of this year came down to a tiebreaker point. I didn’t think it was over though. I FREAKED when I found out it was over and I lost. I really wasn’t aiming for the other girl. I just wanted to serve out my anger…

Also, during those defining points, I fight for EVERYTHING. When I have to deal with ghetto girls who try to out ghetto/intimidate me with being…ghetto, I challenge them. …Uh yea. I might lose but I’ll fight you for every damn call.

ECS: depends on the EC but normally 9/10. I’m really intense when I get into things I love.

Overall: 9/10. I’m a type A personality/Slytherin at heart. It’s just I take certain classes that I dislike and therefore don’t care how I do in them. With anything I want, I’ll fight to the death or do anything I need to get something. I don’t cheat but I will do anything within MY personal power to advance my goals. Depending on others doesn’t work.

I’m not generally a competitive person…sports I hate, so I’d almost rather lose to be done sooner. And I’m not competitive on tests, I just want to get A’s…(I only get upset if my boyfriend beats me if he doesn’t read the section!)

school: i’m one of those cut-throat people. I was recently informed that a close “frenemy” had one more a+ than me, this marking period. this is unacceptable.

^ lol. go enjoy your thanksgiving day!

i’m not that competitive at school. i get A’s, but i’m fine with a 92.1 (minimum for an A). heh.

Obsessed with meeting my standards…
but I think I’d be a 9/10 tho…
I was much worse last year, but then by ex-friend told
me to tone down…little did I know that she’s a competitive freak
that discourages people to be interested in academics to “improve”
her rank…I kinda found that out a wee bit late as my work ethic
dropped a notch T.T >:(

im not that competitive
its mostly against myself
im not overly obsessive with my friend’s grades and comparing myself against them. i ask them about it but i dont go crazy if im not higher than them
i dont think theyres a point in being so competitive but w/e thats just my opinion

I’m competitive

I will rule the world some day!

I’m not really competitive. In school- not at all. I’m not sure where I am in the class in relation to the rest, because we rarely talk about grades. When we get a test back, we discuss the problems and how to solve the difficult ones rather than compare scores, which I think is nice. I want to do as well as I can- if others can do better, good for them!

In sports, games, etc. I can be extremely competitive, but only because it makes it more fun. If I do loose I don’t actually care.

It seems like it would take so much effort to be competitive about everything, and if you’re constantly competing with people, how can you be good friends? For example, if your friend got a lower mark than you and you’re happy about that, or if they got a better mark and you’re mad, then how can that be true, supportive friendship?

T.T
Everyone here is scaryyyyyy…
runs away

I’m moderately competitive. I want to be recognized as one of the top in my class among my teachers and peers.
