Hey,
I will be apart of the class of 2016, and I wondering how hard it is to get into UCB.
How would an asian with 3.9uw/2200 and decent ECs/Awards stand + a lot of passion for what I do/community service?

Thanks.

your stats are decent. I actually think they are raising their admission of oos students too because of the budget cuts and oos students bring in more money to the school with the higher tuition. Honestly, that might also just depend on whether or not you need much finaid too. However, I’d say you have a good chance. I don’t know enough about the admission process to know who oos applicants compete against (like if there is a required % rate of acceptance for oos like there are transfers) but if you are just competing against other oos applicants I’d say you have a good shot! 30% of your application admission’s decisions is in your essays, so just write good essays and you have a good chance. good luck!

Yeah, well I unfortunately do not qualify for any finaid.
I recently saw that out of Asians with 3.8-3.99 GPA and 2100-2400 SAT, 75% were accepted into UCB. I also saw that 40% of same stats were accepted as OOS students, with incomes of 80,000+. Hopefully I can get in. :D
