Admission is very uncompetitive, it starts off as one of the biggest classes maybe ~1500/5500, but the class gets smaller because people switch out. During the first quarter you can ask 1 in 5 people and they’ll probably be a bio major.

Definitely the biggest major, for freshmen at least.

There are many that drop however. During my SPOP (orientation), 50% were bio majors.

Oh wow. I thought about going into biology.
What if you put undeclared/undecided as your major? When can you pick a major that you would like to study in??

If you’re leaning more toward Biological Sciences, there aren’t any restrictions to taking the bio sci courses if you’re undeclared. And you must choose a major by your junior year.

When you enter as undeclared, I believe you can declare any major as long as you fulfill the pre-reqs. some majors require you to be jr. level-standing
