How competitive is Engineering Admissions?

<p>I got into Pre Engineering, and the mail said that I was not competitive enough for Direct engineering.</p>

<p>I don't want to sound whiny, but I'm doing the IB , in which I have Math HL (5) Physics HL (7) and Chemistry HL (7)</p>

<p>Also my SAT 2 scores were Math 2 (760) and Physics (730)</p>

<p>How competitive is Boulder's Engineering division?</p>

<p>I have no idea, but my son four years ago when he was admitted for aerospace engineering (he will be graduating in May) he had ACT composite of 31 but his Math on the ACT was 35 and his SAT II score in Math was 800…</p>

<p>Perhaps there were a lot of high quality candidates this year applying to the School of Engineering. </p>
