How competitive is Johns Hopkins?

Hi all,

I was wondering if I can get some opinions about the difficulty of a BA biology major (or relative fields) at Johns Hopkins. Is it really like a cutthroat environment where everyone competes and 'dies' for an 'A'? What in your opinion, do you think Johns Hopkin's atmosphere is like?

Generally, is biology (pre med) one of the harder majors/concentrations at Johns Hopkins? Since most people enter for Pre-Med? How doable is a 3.7+?

How competitive is it within the classroom? In your opinion, what do you think of the course breadth and difficulty in the classroom?

Thanks, but I have already read that before. The reason I decided to post this was to get opinions for the specific “Biology” major (AB/BS) and not engineering. Although the post had an overview of the school, I was hoping for more specific opinions in Biology or related fields (Biochem/Chem).

No more at Hopkins than anywhere else. People care about their future and want to do well but not at the expense of others.
