How competitive is SED?

I am so anxious about getting into BU. It is my dream school and has been for several years. I am a terrible test taker and bad at math, which has ruined my GPA. However, I have great EC’s and recommendations and writing were great!

Anyway, I’ve been on this site for years but I really have never seen anything about the School of Education. How competitive is it? Do a lot of people get accepted? What’s the program like?

Thank you!

Anyone? There are almost 500 views yet no replies…

I applied there as well. I think it’s the same as the other schools.

I’m an SED student, and unless you are applying for the Math Ed. Program, you probably shouldn’t worry about your math skills. You won’t be in bad company - there are several people who did not score higher than 580 on their SAT in Math who were accepted this past year to SED. If you scored above a 580 on your math in SAT, then you don’t even have to take a math course! (Unless you are an elementary ed. or deaf studies major.)

SED is probably less competitive than the other schools. As long as you’ve maintained a B/B+ average, and have a well-rounded application, you’ll likely be accepted.

@bernier93 that is reassuring! I hope I have a chance! Thanks for your reply.
