<p>Hey y'all. I submitted my application to UT around October 30th, with my first choice major being Social Work. (I put my 2nd choice as "undeclared" and it was automatically changed to biology. Weird!)</p>
<p>I got an 1820 on my SAT - 600 reading, 630 math, and 590 writing. My GPA is a 3.5625 unweighted, and a 4.3928 weighted. I'm ranked 113/681 (top 17%). </p>
<p>I think my essays and extracurriculars are good.</p>
<p>Every day I check "MyStatus" in hopes of seeing a status of acceptance...</p>
<p>I wouldn’t consider it competitive. I only know one person in there but I haven’t heard her complain about anything if that’s worth anything to you. For some reason they have some of the lowest GPA’s though… don’t ask me why</p>
<p>Umm, the college of social work is known as one of the easiest colleges to get into at UT. I would say given your scores and GPA, you are within the range that they usually accept. You aren’t a shoo-in, but you have a great chance!!</p>
<p>I’m sorry, I know this is late but I was wondering if you ever got admitted to social work becuase my stats are close to yours except my sat is higher and I have a lot of volunteering/ leadership and EC’s</p>
So do you think I’d get in?</p>
