I'm applying to Emerson very soon and it is by far my TOP choice, I am completely in love with the school and will really be devastated (that's an understatement) if I am denied. I have always loved film and writing, so I decided to choose the writing for film and television track on the common app. I'm working on a screenplay to send them as a sample and am going to have my English/film teacher review it for me before I admit it. But I am worried about the competitiveness of the program, how much is your creative sample weighed in the application process? I'm worried I'm going up against applicants who've had experience writing amazing full length screenplays, while I've only dabbled with short films. Thanks everyone.

im also interested in this school! tell me what happens to you good luck!! it is DEFINITELY a selective shcool, but from what i heard it definitely looked at your portfolio and extra curriculars. good luck! tell me what happens
