How competitive is this SAT score for scholarships?

Hi everyone!

I recently got the following SAT scores with a combination of two sittings:

Math: 770 (yes, I know… and I consider myself to be a math nerd)
CR: 790
Writing: 750

I want to get a full-ride to a state university, the type where I can even get room and board paid

My question is, how competitive is this?

I am particularly looking at Uni. South Carolina and Clemson, but I am also willing to look at other state unis as well.

My dream college is Uni. South Carolina though.

Your opinions?

Thanks!

Are you from SC? With good grades those scores may get you full tuition at U Alabama.

I am from south carolina, yes.

How did you do on the PSAT? S. Carolina has a NMF scholarship.

That’s a great score! Don’t bother retaking it, a 2310 (1560 M + CR) should be good enough for anywhere!

My psat scores are as following for this year’s new psat administration:

selection index - 212

reading and writing score - 690
math score - 740

how well did I do?

No one will know for sure until September, but I think you have very good chance of making NMSF in SC which will qualify you for a 10K scholarship-almost full tuition. Idk if there are other scholarships that will stack to make it a full ride.

Still you should have no problem qualifying for a full ride or near full ride at several State U’s. See the websites below.

SAT score gets you full room and board automatically at University of Alabama Huntsville, which actually a little more selective admission-wise than Alabama if I recall correctly.

If you’re interested in Aerospace, I’d definitely look into it.
