How Competitive is WF RD?

Would love your input on my chances for RD admission to WF.

I’m a female, Georgia, 3.86/4.1, 32 natural (33 superscored) ACT with strong EC and 2 4-year varsity sports (Captain in both Sr. year), with a national recognition as All American in one of the sports.

Strengths: 33 ACT (super), 2 Sports, Well rounded ECs
Weaknesses: Class Rank - I’m 120 out of 405 at end of 11th. Also, my A’s are lower 90-93 As. I have a few leadership roles, but not as strong as others.

Any idea on how important the Class Rank issue will be? I’ve read the Common Data set where WF says it is Very Important, however I’m curious if you think rest of my profile could balance it out. I had a fabulous interview, and have toured campus twice.

In case you can’t tell - I’m stressed out by this process!

Thanks and GL to all!

Are you a recruited athlete in your All American sport? If so, you should have little to worry about. If not, you’re a solid candidate (but the class rank is low). Knock the cover off the ball with the short answer questions on the application. They like great writing a lot!

No - unfortunately not a recruited athete. I submitted my app in late November and really put some work into the short answer.

Hoping for the best. I went from not even considering Wake to falling in love after my first visit.

Hard not to and it’s an awesome place. They like leadership which you have via athletics and perhaps other ECs. Your grades are OK. Your ACT is very good. You have a solid chance.

Hoping for the best!

I believe I’ve read that Wake takes half of its incoming class from ED

Thanks for the help and insight @cltrising and @rickle1 . I’m excited to see if I am offered admission this Spring.
