I’ve been to the information session for this program. Basically, to be substantially considered for this program, having research experience is the most important because the focus of this program versus other programs is research, therefore it is a bigger factor. Their admissions counselor said the average sat score (they only look at M+CR) is 1460 or around that.

anyways i know its more of a research based program and that is why i wish to apply to it. I plan on applying to several research programs around here and some out of state ones also. I will probably go for intel next year:D

This is actually a great program, I’m currently a 3rd year student on the 7yr track and if you have any questions please feel free to ask. or PM me.

Hey, i submitted my app a long time ago and still haven’t heard back. Do you know about what time they start sending the amc supplements to people who qualified? I got my LIM from union today but heard nothing form Siena or RPI :(, not sure wheter they come at the same time or seperatly?

both the RPI and Union program will send the secondary information by email and make you fill out and send back a digital copy to my knowledge. So if you heard back from Union LIM then I would assume you would also hear back from RPI. The thing is that both schools have different admissions criteria that they are screening for, so initially they will look for good scores and grades. But they are also individually looking to find a “fit” or match for the designated program that you are applying to. Union looks for a Medical Business oriented student/ some how related to healthcare policy. RPI looks for early signs of research to fit their Physician-Scientist Model. So another reason why you might not have heard from RPI is due to a lack of research or inadequate experience. Or they just havent read it yet. I would just keep your fingers crossed. All three programs are great, and sometimes get underrated on this website. They offer way more than you expect.

I recently submitted the rpi and union amc supplements. How long till you hear about an interview? How many of those who receive supplements receive interviews?

i got back a union supplement but i doubt i’ll get an interview because my friend applied and had the same stats at me, and since he handed in his supplement a few weeks back, he already got a rejection. i just handed in my union supplement today, waiting on my rejection as well haha, i heard nothing from RPI, but siena/AMC rejected me and didnt even send a supplement, and since RPI is better im guessin i wont get an supplement for RPI/AMC either

Well it all matters, all of these programs are looking for a different type of student. Your experiences and background will drive whether or not they will be interested in you. if you did a bunch of research and medical volunteering then maybe RPI will be interested in you for a supp… but if you did a bunch of humanitarian work with Haiti or the red cross then Siena would be interested. and finally if you have a bunch of leadership and project planning/ teamwork in medical related work then maybe Union will be interested.

^What kinds of stats do they normally accept ppl with?

I got the supp from Union. And how come my login stuff doesn’t work? I entered the stuff they gave me (the pin and the id) and it doesn’t work. Why not?

idk about the pin, I would just call the admissions office (im a student at RPI) and ask them if they can help.

Stats for the Union program, well i think they like to see the SAT scores preferably having greater than or equal to 650 in each section. Additionally you need to show clear interest in participating in leadership activities such as starting a student organization and running it with a team or hosting an annual fundraiser. Something that makes them sure that you would like to pursue a career in medicine with an emphasis in Healthcare business administration (MS, or MBA) because those are the degrees you are applying for.

your friend recieved a supp from Union and then was rejected? And by mail? and what date exactly if you know? Because applied early like him and i filled the supp out on like the 28th of Dec. but still haven’t heard back =/

my friend handed his supplement in on January 4th and got rejected on 11th, since i had the same stats as him, im waiting for my rejection, im assuming it takes 1 to 2 weeks for union to respond, what were stats?
