Transferring probably accounts for the slight discrepancy between incoming class enrollments and the current total enrollment (86 students).

They are wanting to increase the overall size of the college, though. The University is going to sell one of its dorms, the Shoreland, and build a new one behind Burton-Judson on the south side of the midway. With this change, the college will be able to house a couple hundred more students than it already does. Overall, the perception is that the school will try to slowly increase college enrollment into the 5000+ range.

when is Shoreland being sold??? noooo...private baths...haha

The Shoreland was sold some time ago. It will be turned into luxury condos. The University has arranged to lease it until the fall of 2008 when the new dorm is scheduled to open. While the new dorm will house over 200 more students when completed, the goal is not to add more students to the College, but to entice students to spend more years in the dorm. Many of the rooms in the new dorm now under construction (for a few million you can have your name on it) will be more apartment like in order to retain the 3rd & 4th year student. Many of the rooms in the new dorm will have private baths.

cool...but if its gonna be like Max P....eugh. another gross structure on campus. shoreland after all was a luxary hotel.

it is cheaper to move out after 1st year i suppose....so to entice 3rd n 4th yrs there must be some real good benefit.

At least it will be behind BJ, although the high-rise part of it will be visible from the Midway.
