How dead am I? (Sending SAT scores)

I applied to Harvard Early Action and I didn’t send in my SAT scores through the College Board! My school sends out an official transcript with a test record, and I thought that should handle it. Am I right, or do they need something even more official? It’s a little late now for sending in ETS scores, though it’s better late than never… and also, what’s the deal with other schools?

We have a testing page that goes out with our transcript at our school, too, but the GC still tells us to send an "official" copy.

I would say that you need to call admissions ASAP and ask if that test record is adequate, but you'll still need to pay College Board to get a copy of the scores rushed to them, most likely.

Call Them ..........duh!

A test record on your transcript is absolutely inadequate. Every college requests the OFFICIAL records from collegeboard itself. Call the school, it may be too late, but there is a possibility they'll take it rushed.

1.) You've heard it many times, but CALL the college or write an explanation of the situation.

2.) Make sure that you high school sent in a copy of your scores attached to the transcript to allow them to make a decision pending the arrival of your official scores.

3.) Rush your scores as fast as possible, I hope you have already done this. Even if they tell you not to, it is worth shelling out a few dollars to help your chances.

And breath easily. You won't be rejected. The worst (and unlikely) case is that you will have to wait until regular decision time, and will have similar odds there. If you follow the above steps, the rest is out of you hands.
