I would like to point out that the criticism surrounding President Bush is very similar to that surrounding The Great and Glorious President Lincoln. Terrible speaker, country hick, uneducated, funny lookin'...

What i think is more cause for concern is not the fact that neither bush or kerry got into yale. they both had decent enough scores to meet the minimum requirements at the time.

what i think is truely disturbing is the fact that bush got into harvard business school after finishing yale with a C average.

I really dont think you can be stupid and be president. You have to be able to memorize and give a ton of speeches, multi task like crazy and work very hard. It is not an easy thing to do.

Just wondering, didn't Clinton have excellent grades in college, given the fact that he was a Rhodes scholar?

Though Clinton became a scholar, I remember reading that he actually failed out. I still do commend his effort, and Clinton was not only a cerebral individual, but he was also very persuasive. My professor once informed me that he could convince a person to jump off a bridge, for instance.

Recent technological advancements have been marvelous at aiding the more cognitively impaired officials.

yeah, bush got an MBA from Harvard. funny thing is when you see him give speeches on TV, or when he talks, he just looks so out of it. maybe it's his confidence that he's afraid to show. maybe he just doesn't know.

in any way, it no way seems like he came out of harvard.

You don't have to be eloquent to be smart. I know people who speak better than Bush, but they are dumber than a pile of bricks. However, Bush has successfully led a baseball team, state, and an entire country so he must be somewhat smart.

bush is an idiot - got in because of his daddy. and bush may lead well, but he is just a supervisor overall. He is many people doing his work for him. kerry actually appears smart. if people who cheat should get kicked out...then i think 99.9% of students would fit into that. and.........the SAT is a lot about luck.

i hate these liberal-ridden fora. First, Kerry is an idiot and should not have gotten into Yale...While Bush may not be that intelligent in terms of such indicators as IQ and SATs, he is a good president...If Kerry or some other liberal were president, our country would be as pussy as France

Our country is even worse than France buddy, get a reality check. If you think Bush is a good president, i bet you'll love an ape for president.

Worse than France? Let me see...we have a better economy, stronger military, higher standard of living, better technology, more land & resources...how is France better than us again?

I'm very liberal myself, and I really don't see how Bush could possibly be elected president again. Isn't he supposed to be in the 'more fiscally responsible party'? Look at how much money we've spent on 'The War On Terror'. And as for the France comment, if by being a pussy you mean not randomly invading other countires on basically no evidence supporting the reason why...then I'd rather we be more like France.

This thread is absurd. Both liberals and conservatives seem to change their convictions constantly to match the circumstances. Once it is revealed that Kerry wasn't as good a student as Bush, liberals start defending him on the same grounds conservatives used to defend Bush.

It is inane how much liberals will change their basic principles around so that new information will support their candidates and positions. Shouldn't it be the other way around?

For the record, I am a liberal myself. I just tend to be highly critical of other liberals.
