Didn't he go to exeter? Also, didn't he have a C average?

amused - he was a failing student for 3 years but with supposedly "a strong work ethic" which i doubt more like family connections he pulled off a C- at graduation. no he was at andover =D

Good call, coureur. And despite protests to the contrary, it's worked out well because it's never a bad idea to matriculate a future President of the United States. Yale has a good track record in that area!<<

Yes, Yale has an excellent presidential track record, but Harvard has an even better one:

Yale: Taft, Ford, Bush I, Clinton, Bush II

Harvard: Adams, JQ Adams, Hayes, T Roosevelt, F Roosevelt, Kennedy, Bush II

Yale has more recent ones. Maybe a pull ahead?

In the last 40 years, here is the record.

Yale: Ford, Bush (HW), Clinton, Bush (W) ... 4
Harvard: Bush (W) ... 1

Running in 2008?

Yale: Dean, Kerry, Clinton (H.), Lieberman ... 4
Harvard: Gore ... 1

(All 5 HY coming up are Democrats.)

Yale has more recent ones. Maybe a pull ahead?

Part of it can be explained with the fact that in the ancient days, Harvard Law School was considered every bit the equivalent of Yale Law School. For the past 50 years, YLS has been more prestigious and you have all the politicos wanting to go to Yale.

HLS may be much larger, but YLS has the very top law candidates. If HLS is the creme de la creme, then YLS is the creme above the creme.

Yeah, Yale has been hot lately, just as William and Mary produced a rash of presidents back in the early days. Fads come and go. But there is something to be said for quality over the long haul. Harvard has had an alum elected president in every century that the nation has existed --> 18th, 19th, 20th, and 21st.

LOL... one a century. Yale has had 3 in a row, something Harvard has never come close to doing and never will. Face it, Yale Law School will always be better than Harvard Law School, and there's nothing Harvard can do about it. As long as that fact remains, Harvard will never catch up to Yale in the modern Presidential game. All the top lawyers go to YLS. (And then you have the undergrad Yalies too, like Bush, Bush, Dean, and Kerry.)

kogu - how big is your boat? You're doing some serious trolling on this board.
