And I’ve taken the most rigorous course load at my school, all honors and APs

Never question why some people were chosen over you. BC is looking to build a community; if they wanted to accept the applicants with the highest GPAs and SATs, they wouldn’t need to hire people to work for admissions, they’d have a computer do it…

you’ve got great numbers OP, but something didn’t resonate with BC or Georgetown app readers. Crossword puzzle essay perhaps? Recs? (I found your other posts.)

Suggest you search for some of ScottJ’s posts. He offers excellent advice about telling your story to help close the deal.

Good luck.

Dear imnotafraid : Your specified AP course work is fine with four courses through junior year, but you have more from your senior year. Multivariate calculus, rarely seen in a high school setting (this might be the first time I have seen it on college confidential), talks to the rigor of your academic syllabus.

Clearly, you have also demonstrated music/arts, clubs, leadership, and sports involvement. So, where do we have to turn to think more about your application?

You need to do a thorough review of your essay and the recommendations submitted on your behalf. As mentioned by bluebayou, several recents posts here on college confidential have been addressing the essay and areas over which you might want to pass a critical eye. A search of some recent reviews will turn up those discussions.
