pinkcupcake14, seriously if your life goal isn’t get rich or drunk youself to death or both, i would consider going some where else… you will be pretty disappointed by people at Lehigh.

@mom

i don’t think the last part is true. at least in harvard, i know of someone who almost got the boot for screwy grades but just graduated and had the continuous financial aid. schools with that type of money though can afford to do that.

and i agree with everything about lehigh being straight and not wasting time on ivy-types, it makes sense.

Many reasons, one of which being that Lehigh was too close to home. She also felt that Smith would be more rigorous in her then-intended field. All in all, Smith was the best fit for her, both academically and personally.

Over the past few summers, she has worked as a research assistant in a Lehigh lab; she has learned from profs at both institutions. Princeton was her first choice, and she’ll be working in a Princeton lab over the coming summer, so I figure she has covered a good portion of the colleges she applied to. :)

did anyone else apply for one of those 7yr programs? so who exactly can we call and cry to about that? admissions office? i’ll let you know how it goes… lol

A campus visit makes a huge difference.

YoKao - I think you need to check some of your facts.

“And If you grade slide second year, they will basically take away all your grant lol”
- There are a number of different “grants” offered, many based on scholastic performance; thus, it is an unfair assessment to say that Lehigh takes away your grant if your grades slide, because a lot of times students are given grants and scholarships as a reflection of their grades.

“Go to student review about Lehigh you’ll find they been considered as boys club (59%male), overly white, kids are ****s, almost everyone at Lehigh majored either in Business or engineering.”
- Wow. Out of three choices, you managed to guess the two wrong ones. The College of Arts and Sciences is in fact the largest school at Lehigh, so your second attempt to get it right by just saying business was wrong, too, but nice shot.

“most student would receive an offer to fly to lehigh to enter some deversity weekend and the plane ticket will be refunded… clearly they try to get everyone who admitted to go there… but refund for plane ticket for a weekend?”
- The only thing this seems to indicate to me is that Lehigh is trying to work on their diversity (spelled with an “i” before the “v”). They have established programs to work on their “overly white” stereotype, as you mentioned before, so I don’t understand what you’re saying here - is working to improve an area of the school a bad thing? Or is it Lehigh’s attempt to have students experience Lehigh that’s wrong? Flying students there for a weekend will only give them the opportunity to truly experience the school and get a better idea of whether or not it “fits” for them, something the Lehigh admissions process heavily emphasizes.

Before you make comments that are entirely unjustified and unresearched, you should consider looking into what a school is actually about.

thanks for ur input and for your politeness
