For a lot of people visiting this board, "Boarding School" was not in their vocabulary. What first put BS on your radar?

Everyone in my family goes to BS

A friend suggested it

Gossip Girl

I have an evil stepmother

OK, I admit itHarry Potter

My dad put the idea of boarding school in my mind when I was seven, and he handed me an Exeter pamphlet. (Ironic thing is, I’m not applying there hehehe)

My close friend’s sister was attending one, and when she started to look into applying, I did too. I had always wanted to move back to the USA for high school, and boarding school was just another cooler option for doing that. :)

They told me how amazing and stressing and challenging it was, so I thought about it and told my parents when I came back home. The app process has been difficult, but it’s all worth it… even if I don’t get in.

Zoe 101 put the idea into my head at like age 5 but i thought that there wasn’t really such a thing as boarding school. When my cousins started going i ws begging my parents from age 10

One of my friends left for boarding school in England, and when I checked out the website, I was like, WOW THIS IS COOL. I’ve always wanted to go to a boarding school, subconsciously, so I decided to try and apply :)
