Okay, I'm trying to figure something else out. I figured out once I turn something in my homework grade will raise from 115.8 to 121.5, however when I add the three "categories" together, and divide by the total (300) I always get 91, BUT it should be 87%, which is currently my overall grade.

To get overall don't you just add up the percents and divide by the total? I keep doing this, but I don't get 87%, and I know that my teacher doesn't make certain categories worth more. So, like homework isn't 70% and tests aren't 30%, this teacher doesn't have it.

Can someone help me to identify what I'm doing wrong?

68.0
115.8
92.1

Maybe they're weighted differently?

It's possible that maybe they are weighted differently and you don't know it?

Maybe they're based on points rather than percentage. Then they'd be weighted differently.
