How did you come across CC?

How did you find CC? Was it intentional or not? Did someone tell you about it? What did you type in google that made you find it, if you found it that way?

I actually was looking up camp leader things for a local camp I was helping at, and found this site. I'm completely addicted to it now. How about you?

In my dreams...

No, really.

Someone mentioned it in a LiveJournal community about college, I checked it out, and got hooked.

I was with my friends and we started typing in random words into google. Somehow, I stumbled across here.

Very lucky/fortunate that I did...cuz I didn't even know what EC's were, as well as 99.314 of the things that are on here. also that I really thought college, you start preparing, or, more accurately, everything counts starting middle of junior year or something, and it's only academics, not the extracurriculars.

So by chance I stumbled across here 2 month-ish ago, and...very lucky. Since my mom's not the type to pressure and my GC and such never says anything, it's quite a resource. And yes, since it was summer and stuff, I have 1200 posts in 2 months. Yes. But with the rare exception of posts such as these, most of my posts are 1~2 words/lines that are crappy in quality and literally take 10 seconds or less to type (100+WPM). I probably spend time here intermittently at most an hour a day, usually thirty-forty minutes.

Don't worry, though. Around beginning of August I'll be gone for a while, at least a week or so, on some gaming projects/gaming tournaments I'll be busy with.

Looking for college stuff on google... as are 90% of CCers, I would think.

yeah it was looking for college stuff on google and then i clicked it, read some pages, signed up and have been hooked ever since :)

Same^ 10char

Looking for stuff on google like everyone else.

I've been trying to remember, and for the life of me I simply cannot. Hmm... it was probably something along the lines of chickenboi's.

Looking for AP stuff on Google. For a whole two weeks or so I thought this place was an AP forum. Then, I realized that there were many more subforums... lol

Literally, I typed in AP Calculus BC, looking for practice problems for the AP Test, and I come across CC. How fortunate I am.

More indepth on mine-
I was a local youth camp leader for a camp in my area, in other words, I was mentoring the younger girls that were going. I had to teach a few lessons, give a few devotionals (LDS church camp), and come up with some clever ideas to mentor. While looking up ideas for all of that somehow this came up on google. I got directed to the "What's my chances" forum about a girl who had also been a YCL and thus, I had discovered CC. :)

Amazing what I could find in a really dark room at my grandparent's place. I think I was trying to google "how to get into harvard" or sth, and CC came up and destroyed my hopes, essentially.

Ha, I have a whole theory about how i go on this site to have myself torn down my kids who have better scores than I do so that when i do apply I'll be presently shocked if I'm accepted to any of the ivie's or prestigious schools...

I googled several different college subjects and the name appeared nearly every time I did, so I finally decided to check it out on a library computer in case it was a scam or some virus-giving website. Then, I realized it was harmless and helpful, I started reading the discussions, and now I'm hooked.

My story is akin to davinci's, minus the dark room and grandparent's place :). Oh yeah, I don't want to go to Harvard any more though :D.

google .

I stumbled upon CC by having an epiphany about the AP program. I thought to myself, you know, I bet I could just self-study AP and get credit for them without the classes! I bet no one has done that before! Lo and behold, I google
"self-study AP" and CC pops up. I have been addicted ever since...

I've seen CollegeConfidential multiple times before but I never really bothered to join.

I think what got me hooked was when someone referred me to this site and it has helped me done a lot for SAT studying. I became inactive for a while when I took the SAT, but I came back for APs and I'm a regular in High School Life.

Google!

10char

I was looking things up Google. How cliche.
