interview

i think the interview really helped. its always nice to get to know someone in the admissions office well and tell them more about yourself than what is in the application. i also had a lot of interaction with other admissions officers (like the ones traveling to high schools) and i went to the summer open house. i dont think SATs are that big of a deal, esp. SAT2s. good luck to everyone whos still waiting!

Wow...I was accepted ED1, and have really similiar stats, sports, and I switched from a boarding school sophomore year also...weird.

Yeah I interviewed and it went very well. I am also bilingual and have lived on 3 continents, which I thought would help me, but it didn't. I'm not a minority either, so it wasn't that.

Oh well, I'm actually relieved I wasn't accepted! :</p>

wait listed :(

Don't worry, stsheikh - I've heard a lot of girls who've gotten in say they probably won't go. There's still hope!

wait. does anyone know when reg decisions come out? i keep hearing people getting admissions letters, and i'm wondering if it's from ED or RD... hmmm

BMC is informing RD applicants
of their admission status.

I am pretty sure this is the RD round that is being notified. Good luck.

I received my letter today: waitlisted.

Chimaera, in which region of the country do you live?

I live in the Washington, DC area.

chimaera do you mind sharing your stats?

WAITLISTED... Very perturbed/angry/saddened

RD

No interview.

I am waitlisted for 3 of my safeties. What am I going to do??

Have a different person read your essays and get other people to write you letters of recommendation. You have another chance at a convincing essay, why this college remains your first choice and what a great match you are with the school. If you have a good college counselor ask that they inquire for you to find out what is wrong. Good luck to you and everyone else reading these posts.

I posted this on the other decision thread, but I thought I'd just repost:

Accepted.

I just sent in my deposit. :D

rejected. i figured that. i just wasn't a strong applicant, but i figured with colleges being so haphazard this year, i had a chance. nope. oh well. congrats to everyone who got in!!!

xaguamelonx - obviously there is a lot more to the admissions process than meets the eye. Good luck where ever you decide to go.
