How did you first find out about CC?

To tell you the truth, it was after my first SAT and I was freaking out about it so I tried looking on the internet for people discussing the questions lol....

I think I just google searched “college forum” one time…

These two seniors in my bio class. I kept asking them questions about college so they told me to go on here LOL. I don’t think they wanted to tell me about the site because before they did they had to debate whether or not they should. I see why now, this site is so addicting! If I’m not on my computer, I’m on this site on my iPhone 24/7 LOL

Sigh, I’ve been on CC for a while…but I would google college things a while back and this mysterious site always get popping up. Finally, I bit the bullet and joined. Nobody in RL referred me

I casually began to look for college information, and the first thing that popped up on google was always a CC thread. I ignored it for a while because I figured it would be like all the other internet forums where na

I was looking up stuff about A-levels vs. AP.

i was looking up college information and this is what popped up and since my life is boring i just joined to see if it was interesting LOL :)

Don’t remember.

Facebook ad. :)

I’m the one who created the site.

I emailed the New York Times about the Common Ap system freezing up in January when tens of thousands of students were uploading to it and one of their education reporters called me and in the course of the interview asked me if I’d ever heard of CC.

YOU CANNOT MAKE THIS THREAD! THERE ARE ALREADY FIVE BILLION! UHG!

Ok, I’m better now. I’ll share mine. I was actually looking for advice on what to do as a youth leader at a local camp. Well, a girl that had been to a similar camp across the country went to the chance me thread and posted he had served in the same position. I loved the site as a soon as I read the post, but ignored it for some time. Finally curiosity got me and I came back.

I was googling information about self-studying AP computer science. Yea, I was self-studying before it was trendy for college applications.

I googled college forum help.

shravas: Damn. That’s tough stuff.

My friend told me one day about ridiculous “stats/profiles” online of people applying to colleges and how depressing it was. This was when I was around 7/8 grade. One day towards the end of eighth grade, or perhaps in the beginning of 9th grade, I decided to look up these “crazy people,” so I googled “college forum” or something of the sort. The End.

When I actually joined must have been last year when I was going to take the SAT in May (but ended up moving the date to this May).

I googled “how to get into Harvard” freshman year. Joined sophomore year, got banned, then rejoined junior year.

I googled
“College Forum”

Why I stay is a complete mystery. Probably because the people are so cynical haha

i haven’t the faintest recollection.

it’s possibly i always knew of it, in the bottom of my hear.

(next to all the other soulless things in the universe).

i was looking for summer programs info, and my sister told me to look on this site. The first thing she said about CC was “the people on here are really unreliable, don’t believe almost anything they say”
which is pretty good advice.
i didn’t get on here barely at all for the first couple of months, but this last month I’ve become addicted
