I noticed that many people have attained certain national awards such as the presidential honor roll, national merit, who’s who, etc. Can anyone tell me how you signed up/applied for those awards? I’d really appreciate it if anyone could give me some help.

<p>National Merit is based on your junior year PSAT score.</p>
<p>The only true award I won was National Merit Finalist.</p>
<p>My school does not offer awards because we don't believe in it.</p>
<p>Awards are definately not everything. I got into Columbia with very little on the award side.</p>
