<p>hmm it was the night before SAT and i randomly put some sat related question into my google search box and accidentally found this place of super smarties xD
(actually,in hope of becoming one of them :P)</p>
<p>My friend said his dad had attended Caltech. I never heard of the school before, so I tried to wiki it. Along the way, I found a link to a thread started by a CC user. I was interested. I lurked for couple months. I joined. Here I am.</p>
<p>I was talking to a friend and I told her I was interested in USC. She said, “Isn’t USC a racist school? It’s in California yea but it’s still in the SOUTH. I thought you wanted to get away from that??” I thought it was complete and utter bs so I think I googled something like ‘is USC racist?’ and the first thing I saw was a thread started by a CC member. I lurked. Then I joined. And… yea.</p>
<p>This is interesting why is no one else posting! They were probably googling up dirty stuff and somehow stumbled onto this.</p>

and stumbled upon this interesting forum.</p>
<p>My older sister used it during her college process. She mentioned it to me, expecting that I’d use it for a few questions here and there. Little did she know I’d be a CC addict.</p>

<p>i remember googling uc berkeley vs ucla and reading posts by ucbchemgrad that made me want to go to berkeley. i think this wasn’t how i discovered this site though. maybe i was googling ‘what’s a good sat score’ or something like that. i made this account summer before junior year, which was when i was taking sat test prep, so that would make sense. i think that might be it</p>
<p>unfortunately my first experience involved reading through chance threads. so discouraging lol</p>
<p>@JelloBiafra: me too!! Oh gosh. My first “Chances” thread, somebody told me that my top choice school was simply “not a match” and didn’t say why-they didn’t say if it wasn’t a match in terms of fit or chances…it really bothered/discouraged me for a long time.</p>
<p>Anyway, I think I found CC via Naviance…I live on that site sometimes. When you view a school’s profile on Naviance, you can look at recent CC posts.</p>
<p>I was googling questions about college stuff and this was the site that always came up, so I started reading posts and eventually made an account. </p>
<p>And I agree, it was very discouraging at first, but I’ve since gotten used to it. :)</p>
<p>I had taken an SAT Subject Test and googled some stuff about it, and then it showed me this website where everyone was frantically discussing all the subject tests lol. I’ve been on CC regularly now since July.</p>
<p>I had been looking for some good AP test prep books for a few classes and the people from yahoo answers weren’t too bright. From googling, I clicked on CC which I felt was immediately more helpful as well as interesting; I didn’t know there was a forum for I guess “above-average” (and “way-above-average” for some) students like myself that existed on teh intarwebz. After lurking for a while I made an account, and for the most part I still just lurk. :p</p>
<p>I wanted to see if the score I received on my practice test was “good” and this website popped up in my google search, I lurked and read for a while then finally decided to join when I needed advice on something</p>

<p>I’ve lurked for a while, especially when I first started the college process. Anyway, when I started hearing back I decided to join so I could ask more specific questions.</p>
<p>I was literally googling “How to get into Harvard” and stumbled upon a post in the harvard forum…i lurked for a while and now here I am :p</p>
<p>Was using Yahoo answers to figure out all my college questions then I learned that the people there are mainly stupid! 
lol anyway I started googleing my questions and Yahoo answers and CC kept coming up and people her seemed 100 times better so I joined…(well at least thats how I think it went)</p>
<p>i was googling something, something probably related to the AMC 10 exams that i registered for, and then i stumbled upon this website.
i thought the website was kinda weird and strange at first, but then i found it 2 be really helpful. :)</p>
