How did you guys get your Harvard interview?

I was looking at the Harvard supplement, and I noticed the "Did you have/schedule a Harvard interview??"

I dont know how to schedule one...for Yale (Early Action) I was called automatically after submitting my application. So how would you get one for Harvard? It just sounds like if you DON'T show the commitment (If you did not, please state why: ____) to even schedule an interview, it looks bad. And I certainly don't want to say I didn't schedule one because I don't know how. :P

Thanks!

If you’re a domestic applicant or from what some officers have told me, Canada or the UK as well, you will be contacted by your alumni interviewer to set up an interview. However, if you are otherwise an international applicant, the process varies from nation to nation.

Are you an applicant applying from outside of the United States/Canada? If you are not, then you don’t have to fill out that section of the Common Application, since it’s “For students applying from schools outside the U.S. and Canada (regardless of citizenship),” and you’ll automatically be contacted by your interviewer.

If you are from outside the U.S./Canada, here’s the page you can go to that explains the interview process: [Harvard College Admissions § Applying: International Interviews](http://admissions.college.harvard.edu/apply/international/interviews.html)

did you have to submit the application first?

Omg, thanks leidolon, i feel so dumb. I didnt even see the int’l applicant part. :stuck_out_tongue: Hah, not Harvard material I guess.

thanks :)

Lol, it’s okay. I made the same mistake too, until I double-checked the supplement.
