title is question

Got the Collegeboard book "Ten Real SATs" and sat down and did them. The main thing for the SAT is learning how to take it while under time constraints, which can take awhile to master.

I looked through a review book on the night before the test and on the way to the testing site. :)

I started spending probably 30 minutes a night with a review book two weeks before the test.

how did you do ampersand with that technique? haha that sounds like a plan to me, i think ill do that too (im taking the sat1 on may 7)

What was your score and by how much did you improve by?

well back in the day (haha)..when the 1600 SAT reigned...i got barron's and it was a big book. so i was like...hell no i am not finishing this book. so i returned it, got sum old SAT's and did them. my score overall was 1410, which i was impressed and my mom didnt believe me. the real one..1440. just use old SAT's..or in this case, use the book college board brought out.

I took lots and lots of practice tests, usually one every week starting January, and then tried to do two a week in April. Math was never a problem for me, just doing the tests was enough. For verbal I made vocab sheets since my vocab was in the gutter. I made lists of mnemonics to help me remember words. Associating words with people I knew or things I did were def the most effective for example: yao wantonly put poison in our wantons. Rhymes also work: It was pretty audacious of Teddy to be so mendacious and lie about going out with that girl.

I got a 760V 780M if you're wondering. My first practice test was a 1280, i forget the split, but i think it was something like 580V 700M
