<p>I also think that dorm living is highly overrated. I was ready to move off campus after my sophomore year in college but my parents would not allow it. It was a very different time then. I was lucky in that I got a great roommate my Junior year and we both got singles next to each other for Senior year; but we both would have preferred an apartment near campus. The food, sharing of bathrooms and communal living in general gets old. I am also of the opinion that college campuses today are really not all that condusive to intellectual pursuits. Seems like it is all about frats, partying and drinking.</p>
