I will be attending Muhlenberg College, and found it on TheUniversityReview.com - University and College Reviews and Rankings.

Johns Hopkins.....I heard of it....because it has a very good medical school.

i already attend middlebury, and i was an extensive college researcher so i had heard of it, but the real reason i became interested was that a rep visited my school then i filled out an info card and was offered a free visit to middlebury because i'm "diverse" (part asian).

I'm attending Harvey Mudd College.

Basically, I was totally sucked in by their mail propaganda. After reading through hundreds of boring bulleted lists, their junk mail was a relief (and hilarious!). I wasn't entirely convinced about their actual academic quality though, until they showed up in the Newsweek New Ivies article, at which point I was convinced that I should at least apply. After I was admitted, there was an amazing amount of personal contact which conquered my fears of going to a school half the size of my high school and eventually edged it ahead of my other top choice school - University of Virginia.

I have to admit that its obnoxious to have to explain to everyone where/what my college is, but after visiting campus and spending time talking with current students and my fellow prefrosh I think I'm going to have an awesome time at this quirky little school!

"I have to admit that its obnoxious to have to explain to everyone where/what my college is"

You can actually just wear a Harvard Med school T-shirt and just count on the fact that people will assume they misheard you.

Anyways, my ex-girlfriend forced me to apply because it was near a college that she wanted to go to (Pitzer). I had never heard of it and didnt give a serious thought until I visited it. Funny how things work out.

I found my school (Quincy University) through a TON of junk mail, plus they randomly sent me a letter saying I was eligible for a scholarship. Now, HOW they got my grades or even my name I don't know but my dad made me visit the school and I actually liked it.

I agree- it really sucks having to explain where it is. "Quincy, IL" never really explains it enough for people lol
