the moment i read "congratulations", from uc berkeley, i felt like a weight that had been sitting on my chest for a hundred years had been lifted!

the best feeling.

the moment i read "congratulations", from uc berkeley, i felt like a weight that had been sitting on my chest for a hundred years had been lifted!

the best feeling.

uva - big grin and fist pump "yesss!"

I got into 2 schools that I knew I would get into, and got rejected from my reach. I was still happy seeing the admission letters to the 2 I got into, especially since they both came on the same day.

I was about to take a shower when I received a text that UCLA admissions decisions were posted. I took the fastest shower of my life and then ran to the computer. (I was already preparing myself for a rejection) As i turned it on, my heart was beating so fast! When i was finally able to log on and see the decision I was in shock. I honestly did not believe that I was going to get it! I froze, then I managed to react and called my mom over to the computer. I could not help but cry.

When i got my accepetence to seton hall initially i saw it coming so when i opened it i was happy but nothing special, but when i saw that i got a 50k scholarship i immediatley had the biggest smile and was ectatic. Then with ithaca i was really not sure if i was getting in or not. But i was able to check online every day soo when i was checking i was thinking i was gonna see the usual, application materials recieved, under review, but then i saw a picture with kids holding a sign saying you got in and while i checked i was in school soo i jumped out of my seat, high fived my teacher i was interning with and texted my parents and thanked them for helping me through high school to get to this point in my life

For my top choice, I literally went up to the mailman's truck and got it from his hands...because he was across the street, meaning he was going to make a huge loop before he got back to my house and I couldn't wait to check.

He couldn't find it originally, but then I saw it...so once he gave it to me I ran back to the other side of the street, where two of my friends were waiting, screaming at the top of my lungs. ("IGOTINIGOTINIGOTINOHMYGODIGOTIN!")

we were in the middle of rehearsals for Fiddler on the Roof at the time so one of my friends started doing one of the happy excited couple dances from the show with me. all while, i was clinging like a crazy person to my envelope.

after that i went inside and called my best friend and my parents.

When I got my acceptance to Oberlin, i wan't expecting it because i thought it was another letter from financial aid-they had already sent one big envelope with forms to fill out. When i oppened i only saw financial aid-still nooo idea what i was looking at. finaly, as i started to read the letter and saw scholarship--i was like, wait what? I looked at the rest of the stuff and saw the congratulations. . .
i just teared up and ran upstairs to tell my parents, i kept on tripping over myself.
it was kinda akward, my step-mom wouldn't let me go and my dad had to get out of bed(he's sick) and put on a robe before he pried me out of her hands to give me a hug.
anywho, step mom got me really good chocolate cake and i screemed with my bff on the phone for a while.
great day. . . i'm too happy to even care that i havn't written a grad speech and the deadline is tomorow. I just don't care anymore

GWU acceptance was exciting to say the least.

Lawrence-

I jumped up and down when I saw I was accepted.
Jumped up and stayed up when I saw my package.
Got stuck to the ceiling when I saw that they were putting my essay in their guide on how to write a good essay.

For my Reed acceptance it got put into my Spam folder and I looked at the Northwestern one before it which was waitlisted, which I was really suprised by since my father teaches there. So I couldn't be as estatic about Reed as I would have liked because I was still coming off of that feeling. I literally got the two emails simultaniously

Boston College-

I looked for the closest human being I could find, who happened to be my Chinese-door man, and I yelled "I got into BC!!!!!!!" while shaking my fat envelope in his face. He didn't understand a word I said, but it's all good.

^^ haha that's pretty funny

i jumped up and down in my room while screaming at the top of my lungs for UCLA. i started clapping and stuff...i actually recorded it on video =DD

my rejection from stanford was not so good though. i was checking my email on my itouch in the bathroom. no one told me that stanford decisions were coming out early =(

My friend randomly checked her email during her free period. When she found out Northwestern decisions were out, she ran all the way to the chem lab to tell me! I began to hyperventilate and begged my teacher to let me use his computer to check my decision.

I saw the email and found my teacher hovering over my shoulder. Pretending to be affronted, I said, "Mr S, do you MIND?!?" to which he stepped away. I opened up the decision letter. Read the first word: "Congratulations". But I didn't celebrate in case it was an ironic decision letter. When I saw "Welcome to the class of 2013", I jumped for joy, absolutely screeched, "I'M IN!!!!" and did a ten minute victory dance with my friend, who had also gotten in! Then I had to run for math, which I was late for. And my teacher let me call my dad from class :)

I had a good day; the guess? bag I've been eyeing is on 40% off, then I come home to a big UPS envelope from Fordham :) not exactly my first choice but it was nice. I screamed, haha.

My USF and Northeastern acceptances were muted, because I checked my e-mail late at night and didn't get to scream.

I was at school, checking my status on a friend's laptop.

I started jumping, and yelling, and screaming, "I'M IN! I'M IN!"

... and then, I was sent to the Principal's Office for being to disruptive. What a way to rain on my day...

First acceptance included jumping around and texting close friends who applied to the same place (USC)

Following acceptances were meh...until UC Berkeley which made parents happy and they jumped around and grinned from ear to ear.

I was on a school trip out of state when the decisions for Smith were coming out. So when 6:00 pm rolled around, I ran down to the lobby, logged onto the workstation and clicked through everything when I saw the screen said "Congratulations!" I ran and hugged my friend next to me.

I was accepted into Bucknell University.

My reaction was quite interesting. The first thing I saw was a "big envelope" (Which for Bucknell usually means "YAY! You Are In!"). I immediately ran up my drive way, up to my room and performed, what had to be, the most clean yet crazed opening of a letter. The next thing I saw were the words, "Bucknell Welcomes You." I swiftly opened the thick, fancy folder and saw the word "Congratulations" and proceeded to dance, scream, first pump, and scream some more. By this time my very chipper short-haired collie was coming over jumping on me and my parents both rushed in happy and my mom was screaming with me. I then made a pretty cool 5-minute long electronica epic to remember the emotions.

I also got into Emory, University of Richmond, University of Tampa, UGA, KSU, and Colgate.

God, I wish I have a memorable reaction.

When i got my Johns Hopkins acceptance i for some reason started making explosion sounds as though i were a child again. Oh well, no one was around when it happened!

Good luck and Congratz to everyone!

I will never know. I am the valedictorian of my school, and I was rejected to 4 schools and accepted to 1 (my saftey).
