how did you spend your sat night?

esp.freshmen? i am oos applied for next year. did alot of kids go home for the holiday weekend?

alot of my friends did...on our wing of degraff about 13 out of 30 went home, including my roomate, we were planning to go out to a party but it was raining really hard most of the night, power went out for a second till the generators came back on, so instead we ended up ordering pizza and watching a college football game(the guys) while the girls we're watching standup comedy on a laptops, then we had a bit of a sleepover which was interuppted by everyone falling asleep.

poetree, where you from, we have alot of oos on our floor.

that sounds chill. do you guys walk over and eat at the dining hall together?
i live in ny about 30 minutes north of nyc.

Alot of times we eat dinner or breakfast together but since everyone has a bit of a wacky schedule it's a bit difficult...theres always someone willing to go with you though.

i visited with my mom during welcome week and just loved the campus and the students seem nice and cool. we went to this concert with diplo and polyphonic spree welcome week. we hung in the back of course but if i were a student there without my mom i would have moved up close. i love music esp indy stuff like these bands. i figure with such high rated music college there must be a lot of local band talent..do yu know fsu uf yet if there is a club scene. i am not a big clubber but sometimes i want to listen and dance to techno.

fsu -uf --oh yeah one more question - my uncle told me he visited his friend a a few years ago at fsu and "potbellies" was the place to hang out to chill and maybe to watch away games. when we drove by it and i thought it looked closed. is it open or closed? it looked like it may have been closed unless it justs gets busy late at night or just not popular. and thanks for all the inside info!!!!

funny you mentioned that, i'm from miami and i personally love techno, so Thursday's lower lounge right across the street from campus plays techno all night- while sunday's baja's plays techno in its main room. from what i've noticed they play all type of music here it just depends on where you go, and there are alot of good concerts here.

im not a fan of potbellies, basically because of its location next to old frat row and sorority row which means it usually turns out to be a fashion show, and the two times i've gone there have been some big fights there, and I hate seeing fights.

did you go see diplo? he was awesome. i loved his remix of young folks. oh fsu sounds so fun and it does have my major......i already applied so i have that going for me.
Yeah i know what you mean about the frat thing. their houses we saw looked disgusting although the soriority houses looked like mansions.one of the things i noticed when i was at UF was it seemed all about the greeks. i like that fsu didnt seem so much so

well fsu has a big frat scene, and when i first got here i hated that but once i met a few frat guys i noticed they were just like me and weren't the sterotypical description of frat guys seen in movies. to see most of the frat houses you need to go to heritagegrove, where the 13 largest frats are located, the houses are quite nice, i think phi kappa epilson or pike has the nicest house out of all the greeks. And no i didn't see diplo, i kinda got bored of all the seminole sensation events.

well the diplo event started early like at 7 pm, so i figured that was why there wasn't a bigger crowd.
