How did you think Physics B was?

I thought that the multiple choice was not hard but not easy, but the free response were very easy. I finished all of them with plenty of time to spare. Some of them were very similar to old questions. Also they were all straightforward and there were not to many tricks. What did everybody else think?

i thought it was pretty tough

Suprising easy for the free response (no magnetism!!!) and mid-level for mc. I hope the curve won't be too brutal though.

Wow, given that my school just finished the test, we're already posting our thoughts about the exam.

I thought I got raped by it. Then again, my teacher wasn't that great. I answered all MC, but mainly were guesses. I'm guessing 20-30 wrong MC and then very few points from FR. I'm pretty sure I got a 3 though.

how well do you have to do normally to get a 4? i might have gotten half credit on every part of free response (pretty much a guess though, could be worse or better) and maybe a 40 on mc (after subtracting mistakes). thats kinda a guess though

I got screwed in the FR :( . The multiple choice was alright ( not too hard and not too easy either) ..

I at first thought Free Response was difficult, but most of the answers eventually came to me and I think I ended up doing fairly well.

MC was average compared to what I have been doing. There wasn't a lot of magnetism on this test at all.

I agree, FR raped me. :( My teacher hardly did anything on refraction... it was a lot harder than last year's free response. By far.

MC were okay... eh. I hope I made a 3 or 4... I took it right after AP Bio (which went extremely well), so my brain feels like it was just raped and shot about three times over.

what are some of the curves like for Physics B?

Really, really bad. No one in our class was prepared.

God. My head still hurts.

Not sure exactly, but I think 80% = 5, 60% = 4, 40% = 3, etc. I heard from someone else that 75% = 5. This percentage is in terms of raw score from both sections. I expect the curve to be A LOT nastier this year.

this is from an older post but i don't know how to quote

"I have the official 2004 released exam. The breakdown:

115-180
91- 114
63-90
49- 62
0-48"

so to get a 5, you need around 69-70%, which i definitely think i got.

The curve from the 2004 released test is as follows: 5..115-180 (88.8 percentile)
4...91-114 (70 percentile)
3...63-90 (49.7 percentile)
2...49-62 1...0-48 you basically need 2/3 right for a 5 and half right for a 4

I felt that the mc were mixed (someeasy.. .some hard). The free response was pretty straight forward but there were 2 parts where I was basically like... ok... I have no idea how to do this ... but how can I still get points. Other than those two parts, the fr wasn't that bad (though it was ALL my least favorite subject material).

Impossibly difficult for me. :S

ugh i plugged in wrong numbers into my calc which i realized right after time was up...other than that it could have been a lot worse...i thought last year's was harder

wasnt the max raw score on this test 140?

70 Mc + 80 Fr = 150

I thought I did good but then I realized I completely screwed up one of the FRQs except for the points for checking the materials so thats like 14 points gone.

The free response was easy until i reached number 4 and the end of 6 and the mc was relatively difficult.
