^ Crap… Sarcasm Paradox…

^ Those are even better than time paradoxes. Not. (Oh, another one. :))

^ Ending a post with “statement. Not.” (ellipsis) Silverturtle I expected something far more clever from you… Or at least something current!

Oh snaaappp, says the peanut gallery

retires to shell

My brother got an 1130/1600 and got into IU, but he dropped out due to drug/alcohol/grades problems… o_o, I aspire to do a lot better than him in all areas, and not drop out for any abuse or problem. :D

Dad: 23 on ACT (took it eighteen years ago to get into community college)
Mom: 33 on ACT (had full ride to U of Miami FL but gave it all up and eloped with my dad the summer before her senior year.

I scored 2400 points higher than my parents on the SAT :)

I can’t even imagine how many times greater your score is.

im not really sure

i dont think my mom did too well

my dad got an 800 in his math section though but he tells me he did bad in CR as he was a 1 year immigrant at the time

still he got into columbia so i guess that is an accomplishment

Ahhhhhhhhh…online sarcasm!

Has anyone had his or her parents take a practice SAT recently?

Over the summer, I’m going to take a practice sat and compare scores with my mom and dad.

My mom really wants to find out what she got, but she can’t remember and has no idea where the records might be. She got into Stanford though (and passed it up so she could go to UCLA with her brother. Whut), so it couldn’t have been that bad. My dad went to college in Hong Kong, so no SATs.

EDIT: Oh, were we meant to post our results too? I got 1520/1600 and 2270/2400.

Neither of my folks took the SAT (my dad grew up in Canada, and my mom was living in Taiwan). I got a 1500/1600 and 2290/2400 back in January.

The SAT doesn’t exist in my parents country, so they clearly didn’t take it. They passed matric with the highest level of results (I’m not entirely familiar with the system) and both went to the best university in their country.

Hehehe, my parents never took it, and even though we live in America they don’t even know what the SAT and the ACT is! * no one does in my whole family*

I don’t think either of my parents ever took an SAT or ACT. My dad might have but I’m sure he has no idea what he got.

My dad went to Upenn… but he doesn’t remember what he got. My mom worked like, 2 full time jobs + a full time student… (school + evening shift at some place on weekdays, double shifts on weekends).

My parents didn’t take the SAT because they didn’t live here yet.

It would have been cool to compare scores though.
