How different are ancient and modern Greek? Just wondering. :)

Probably a lot. Probably like Archaic English and Modern English.

I don't believe that Greek has developed as much as English due to its 500-year repression under the Ottomans, as some of the ancient language is still decipherable from modern Greek.

Modern and Ancient Greek are different enough so that in order to learn one, you'd have to learn the other. This is coming from a Greek ;D

Ugh... so if I learned ancient Greek in school, it's not like I could speak it in Greece?

Yeah...sorry...but ancient Greek is a great language anyway :D
