How Different are Barrons Practice Tests?

I just took a practice test from the Barron's book (NOT 2400) and my scores were:
CR: 730
M: 670
W: 640

How much "harder" are Barron's tests supposed to be? I haven't taken any tests since the last PSAT (CR 67, M 71, W 55) but I feel like the CR is easier if anything. And yes, I know that the Blue Book has the best practice tests but I'd like to save them for later and I felt like I might as well take the practice test from Barron's anyway since I bought the book.

I’ve found that Barron’s practice tests are generally much harder for math compared to the actual SAT.

I agree, I find Barron’s much harder for math, slightly harder for reading, and the writing is just different.

Okay, I had a feeling that the math was more difficult than it should be. I just took the writing part of the test from the PR PSAT book and got a 740, which alleviated me a little.

This is somewhat out of topic, but is it possible to improve from a ~2040 to a 2300+ by October?
