How different is the admitted student tour from the prosepctive applicant tour?

My daughter and I toured Syracuse this past summer when looking at schools she was thinking of applying to. She was accepted and she committed to going to Syracuse. I just paid the $950 fee. I noticed Syracuse does a tour for accepted students like other schools do. The description of the tour sounds just like the tour we took this summer. Syracuse is a 7 hour drive away and requires an overnight stay. I am just trying to figure out if it’s worth a second trip or if it’s basically the same tour.

I noticed there is something called the Spring reception too. Unfortunately, they are all in April and on weekdays (during a time of year I can’t get off work).

I can’t really answer about Syracuse specifically but when my older son was applying to schools we went to a few of these events to the top schools he was considering. They were a lot more in depth than a typical tour and they really roll out the red carpet. My younger son is currently deciding between two or three schools including Syracuse and we plan to attend an Accepted Students reception day in a few weeks. If your daughter is already committed it is not really necessary to go to one. I want my son to go so he can make a decision!
