How difficult are upper division classes compared to lower division classes? (Government)

Hi! I’m a prospective sophomore transfer (I’ll hear back on June 1st) at Smith College! I am currently a Political Science major at UCSD, so I’m assuming Government is the closest equivalent at Smith. Since I’m a freshman, I haven’t really taken any upper division classes yet, so I was wondering how difficult they are in comparison to lower division classes. I definitely plan on working very hard, I just want to know how students generally feel about the department!

Also, is there a way to see the grade distribution of classes at Smith? (At UCSD we are able to look up past classes and see what percentage of students got an A/B/etc.)

Thank you so much for any help you are able to provide!
