How difficult is AP Seminar?

Hi! I was planning on taking AP Seminar next year because I am quite interested in research and thought it would be a great addition to my schedule. However, I have selected about 3-4 other AP courses that I will take next year (junior year), so I am worried that AP Seminar would add more on to my rigorous workload out of school. It is also new to my school next year so I have absolutely no idea what people think of the class. If any of you have taken the course or know anyone that did, how did you do in it and how difficult was the class overall? Also, how many hours a week outside of school should I be dedicating my time to this class?

If it is too much work, I will probably not be able to take it due to my already busy schedule.

The answer is going to be different for every school, so you should talk to students who have taken it in your school, your guidance counselor, and the teachers who run that class to make an informed decision.

In our school, it is a freshman class, mildly difficult because freshmen aren’t accustomed to the workload, but the subject matter isn’t hard. Our school is large and offers quite a lot of electives, so the people who take this class, which is basically an English elective and doesn’t count towards English graduation requirements, are usually students who don’t yet know what they want to study later on.
