Is it way more difficult than just 61B? I have not taken any CS course before here at Berkeley. I did some Java in HS, but it was just mainly learning the loops and if/else stuff. I don't know much data structures besides simple arrays and arraylists. Don't know much theory. I did E7 here Fall 09 and that was difficult... What if I took 61C next semester?

are you thinking about switching into EECS? If not, don’t bother; take the CS9 version of Java as a test run because in CS61B, you only learn Java for a month, and then you learn data structures using the Java language.

good but difficult class so far. my friends who took E7 and CS61A said E7 teaches you nothing about programming though… so… keep that in mind. CS61A might be a better start off because CS61BL is a terrible class, I’ve heard.
