I was recently accepted into the College of Engineering at UC Berkeley as a BioEngineering major. At the time I applied I was fairly certain that I would end up studying BioEngineering. However, this past year I have been picking up some programming. I have been taking AP Computer Science in school and have loved it. I am not sure whether I want to change my major but I do want to have that option open. I have heard rumors that it is difficult to transfer into the EECS major at Cal because it is so popular. Is this true? And if so, how difficult is it to transfer? If anyone would be able to give me a first-hand experience on this, that would be greatly appreciated.
It’s really easy. I know multiple people who switched from BioE to EECS. Switching from another college into CoE, on the other hand, is much harder.
