Hi, so I've been admitted to IU and I'm waiting to hear back from the SSA about whether I'm a DA to the journalism school. I would have been directly admitted to Kelly because of my test scores, but you can only pick one major, and journalism is my preferred choice. How difficult would it be to double major? I'll have taken about 10 AP classes, and I'm anticipating a 3 or higher, so will that help? Or am I going to be overwhelmed?

You’ll be fine. People double major all the time.
I’m a business and telecommunications major.
I’m actually thinking about triple majoring.

First, did you know that the journalism school requires you to have a second concentration and one of those can be a minor in business?

I’ve had a different experience than ohsnapitsfaux in that I don’t think that people double major in-and-out of Kelley very often, if ever. The Journalism major requires at least 98 hours of coursework in journalism and the College of Arts and Sciences. You could try mapping it out, but I doubt it could work in 8 semesters.
