How difficult is it to get a triple in the quad?

Hi, I will be a freshman this fall and I'm currently trying to apply for housing. I know I want to put Ware/Fisher/Riepe as my top three choices, but I'm not sure if I should put a double or a triple as my room choice (though I believe triples aren't offered in Riepe).

However, I don't want to select triple if I know that there aren't very many triples available.

And another question to go with this one is, do they consider your housing preference over your room choice preference? For example, if I put Ware/triple as my first choice, and I got in to Ware, would I definitely have the triple or is there a possibility that I'd get put into a double or a single (rather than another house all together)?

Thank you!

I have similar concerns, would be great if someone could answer.

When I applied for Fisher, I applied with single, double, and triple options, but they gave me a triple out of them. I would have been fine in a double or single either, but my main point is that they gave me that one out of three possibilities. It might seem strange though, given there are more singles and doubles, but that’s the most info i can give.

Thank you for your info, aonoshonen!

While browing CC I also found this thread http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-pennsylvania/178209-anyone-know-how-many-singles-doubles-triples-etc-there-each-house.html</a> where someone posted the numbers of each room type in each house! It’s quite old, but I’m assuming it should still be ~rather valid.
