How difficult is it to get in for computer science?

I have roughly a 3.7 and I’m taking the ACT in a couple of a weeks but I’'m estimating it to be between 26-28.
Thanks for replying.

It is one of the more selective majors at the school. As with the other CSUs, they rank applicants who have completed the A-G matrix by their Eligibility Index and admit student highest EI first until the seats are full.

The index formula is pretty simple. CSU GPA 200 + ACT10.

Read about the Index and CSU GPA here:

Without your ACT and CSU GPA, I can’t really assess your chances. An EI of 930 or better will probably do the trick for CS.

CPP is the only CSU that really considers your alternate major. If you are committed to CPP, list a less competitive major - or, simply undeclared.

Good luck.

For Fall 2014, the admit rate for Freshman was 29%. 2015 stats are not available, but I would predict it is lower than 29%.

Post your stats once you get your ACT scores back. If you in the local in-service area, you may have a slight advantage.
