Honestly? I hear its a 92-95% acceptance rate, than I hear its more difficult, so honestly who are the 5% rejected?

I think it depends on your major choice.

say an Undeclared major?

Have a pulse and you're good

It's not difficult at all. I applied because I did horrendously in high school (3.2 weighted GPA, probably 2.8 UW, ended up getting kicked out of school a few months ago) and I didn't think I'd get in anywhere, so I sent my SAT scores (CR: 670 M: 750 W: 690) but didn't get a chance to send my transcript. I ended up getting into a school the next morning and decided ASU wasn't worth it, but I got my acceptance letter today even though they don't have my transcript! Haha, if I can get in, anyone can.

wow. do they give alot of aid to OOS students?

no, besides whatever merit aid you receive, most fin aid money is given to Instate students.

that kinda sucks. Do they have AFROTC or NROTC there?

They have army ROTC for sure, I'm not sure about the others.

I live in Scottsdale, AZ and know a ton of kids who go to U of A and ASU. Personally, I would never go there. (Unless you can get into the honrs college) Many of my friends have selected to transfer out after their first year.
It's not thought of very highly here in AZ and most of the locals kids who go there only go to party and because it's cheap.
Then again, if you were NOT a strong student in high school, then perhaps one of the AZ schools would be a good choice for you since they are extremely easy.
Good LUck!

Yeah I live in Scottsdale too, woohoo for snobbsdale!, anyways yeah, I'm interested in the W.P. Carey SoB looks neat, and my brother is an alumnus, so yeah its pretty cool

getting national merit is essentially full ride. Of course, the only benefit of ASU is the hot girls.

bump...........

Getting into the university is easy. Getting into the good programs is not. ASU as a whole is not amazing, the good programs are quite good. That about sums it up.

How good is ASU for Computer Science or Engineering? I have applied there as a transfer sudent.
I heard that their Engg. Program was funded by NASA

If you take the serious majors such as Bioengineering or some kind of science you will give yourself a hard time. I went there for Molecular Bio/Biotech and I underestimated the rigor by a mile. I wouldn't take anything else at ASU but engineering, science, or business. Those programs are their strong points imo. I had many lab partners who were doing research or interning somewhere major. There are opinions about ASU, but it is still a pretty good university. I think of it as a place where second chances happen for some and those few who screwed up a bit in high school are able to redeem themselves.

I’m a sophomore in high school, and i have mostly A’s and B’s right now. The college i want to attend is Arizona State. Do I have a good chance into getting accepted into that school?
I’m in Colorado and it says on ASU’s site out of state has to get like a 24 on the ACT and a 1110 on their ACT, do you have to get those exact scores to get accepted there?

The scores they list on their website are MINIMUMS, so you’ll need to shoot above the minimum SATs scores they list. Also - their more competitive majors have even higher standards now (like engineering needs a minimum SAT score of 1140).

Hi, I was wondering what my chances are to get into ASU if I am a transfer student with a CC gpa of about 2.4? I applied as a Political Science major. I also wanted to know when they usually release admission decision. Thank you

A 2.4 is not a strong GPA in any regard, but transferring in is easier then applying as a freshman.

They work on a “rolling” admissions policy. They start accepting applications for Fall in Late August and start admitting students for the fall semester after September 15th.

This is from their admissions office, hope it helps.
