How difficult is it to get into RCAH?

My daughter is currently a high school sophomore. She will likely be studying journalism/communications and is VERY interested in the Residential College of Arts and Humanities at MSU.

From what we have both read, it sounds like a perfect fit for her. She is an above average student and will continue to have to work hard to be accepted to MSU, but I am wondering how difficult is it to get into RCAH?

She is in journalism now and will continue that direction her junior and senior years of high school. Is there anything she can do to help improve her chances (between now and then) of getting into RCAH (other than keeping her grades up?) She will have 5 yrs of German upon graduation of high school and is also planning on pursuing the IB Diploma.

She currently has a 3.7 UW GPA and I expect will end up with an ACT of 28-30.

All residential colleges at MSU are first come first serve so a long as she applies early, she’s in.

I’m in RCAH so I’d be happy to answer any questions about it.

Sounds like your daughter would definitely be a great fit. They are having a Junior Visit Day on April 21, [url=<a href=“http://rcah.msu.edu%5DResidential”>http://rcah.msu.edu]Residential College in the Arts and Humanities : RCAH/url

Thanks for letting me know about the preview day. I wish we could attend but unfortunately my daughter is in the musical at school and she has a matinee performance that day. We will have to catch the next one for sure!

I think you can sign up to be on the mailing list online on the future students part of the website…
