Hi! In the Biology majors at UCSD, how many people apply to and how many people are accepted to the BS/MS program? Also... would you suggest doing this program?

I think the BS/MD is before you start freshman year. IIRC top2% application pool was invited and maybe 1000 applied and 50 was accepted and 10 ended up attending.

^OP said BS/MS, not BS/MD.

My understanding is that pretty much everyone who applies and meets the qualifications for the BS/MS program is accepted. You can always talk to the BS/MS coordinator about the likelihood of being accepted, and you probably should talk to them before you apply. I’ve never heard of a qualified applicant being rejected. Before you even fill out a graduate application, you have to submit a Statement of Interest and Eligibility, which (based on the website) sounds like an early screening tool to identify those who aren’t eligible before they spend the time and money on the graduate school application.

Whether or not I would suggest this program depends on your situation and what you want to do after college.

Oops. I think there is a Minimum GPA for MS like 3.4 for Computer science but do check online.

It is really difficult to get in. You need to have strong medical EC’s and show a passion for medicine.
